One Kind of Relieving Stress

Like a child who cannot contain his happiness and excitement when he enters a place full of toys of his dreams, be it a playground or a toy store, I feel the same zest when I enter a bookstore or an office supplies store. Continue reading “One Kind of Relieving Stress”

Lesson from spiders

Little Miss Muffet

Sat on a Tuffet

Eating her curds and whey;

Along came a spider,

who sat down beside her

And frightened Miss Muffet away.

That was a childhood nursery rhyme that until now, I know by heart. I’m not sure if it is one factor why I’m afraid of spiders. I’m not fond of insects as well. They just have too many legs! But I was able to develop this spider-like attitude, that always inspires me to  keep on going. That is to build my carefully, and beautifully weaved web, over and over, no matter how many rude creatures would dare to destroy it.

Be the Change (04.23.13): Social Justice

While browsing applications in iTunes today, I stumbled upon this one called ‘Be the Change,’ and downloaded it. The idea is to accept the challenge of doing something according to the day’s theme. I found it interesting. I would like to start today even with my little proactive ways of doing things, and see how far I can go with this.

Today’s theme is Social Justice. Here goes my act that I entitled:

Don’t put blame on innocent others

Somebody took a set of machine-jammed papers from a place where I transferred them. Those papers were still supposed to be shown to the copier technician. When the owner of those papers looked for them in their original location and was a little hysterical why the papers were not there anymore, I said what I knew and volunteered to retrieve the papers. You know, I could have just kept quiet and left things as a puzzle to persons concerned.
